Overview
The Danish online gambling market is set to open on 01 July, 2010. The new legislation will for the first time, license and legalize online gambling operations that is currently run through Danske Spil, the Danish state monopoly.
Denmark’s gambling market may not be as sizeable as that of France or Italy, but the planned liberalisation is nevertheless highly relevant for the global market. Opening up Denmark’s online gambling market will create a national licensing and taxation framework for online sports betting, poker and casino games allowing for increased competition by foreign operators who fulfil the necessary regulatory and licensing requirements.
As new licenses will be issued in January 2011, the online gambling community will meet at a very timely gathering specifically designed to offer practical advice to interested participants on how to comply with the new Danish licensing regime.
Please join the Morten Ronde, Head Legal Advisor of the Danish Gaming Board, independent body in the Ministry of Taxation and other key experts as they address Denmark’s new legal framework.
We invite you to join the Danish Regulator and industry experts as they communicate to the online gambling community the newly enacted regulatory requirements to enter Denmark’s gambling market.
Our webinar agenda will offer practical steps and present key strategies to help operators prepare for the business challenges and regulatory requirements from the Danish Gaming Board.
